Update Information: July 16, 2009

Posting by Ron, Friday, July 17, 2009, 00:31:

Engine Updates

Update: Chesley the Chess Engine 210
no build for this version yet
http://sourceforge.net/projects/chesley/

Update: Gray Matter 1563
The versioning for this engine is totally ridiculous: any website change is
considered a new engine revision. I find the GoogleCode hosting to be a
disappointment! The first two 'updates' are web page changes only.
- Edited wiki page through web user interface. (How to install and run on Windows.)
- Edited wiki page through web user interface. (How to install and run on Windows.)
- a bunch of little changes for convenience and clarity (mine)...
most recent exe files: 1557 (x64) and 1553 (Win32)
http://code.google.com/p/gray-matter/

Update: Plisk 0.0.7
- corrected SEE function
- added hash move in move ordering
- fixed some xboard protocol bugs
- improved king safety code
- fixed some pawn evaluation terms (passed pawns and islands)
- add LINUX binary (32bit compile)

Info Only: Slibo
another 2 commits to the source code (commits = 111)
http://sourceforge.net/projects/slibo

Update: Tornado 3.12
- very important bug fixed, minors and majors wasnt right counted, and then the lazy eval exit dont correct calculated, wrong eval results
- bad trades of material added: only (1 minor vs 3 pawn) and (2 pieces vs rook)
- material differenz now calculate only in evaluate, no incremental updates, that gives a little speed up by make and unmake moves
- extensions changes and limited
